Your home is where you go to recharge. It’s a soft place to land after a long trip and a respite between workdays. It’s also a place to entertain and celebrate life with the people who are most important to you. It should reflect who you are and how you live.
If you’re looking to elevate your home and enrich your everyday, you’ve come to the right place. With a worldly outlook, an appreciation for fine art, and more than 20 years’ experience in interior design, John Bradfield creates environments inspired by emotion and grounded in quality. His designs — which are masterfully curated and then edited over the course of the project — feature rich textures and elegant and comfortable furnishings. He believes that architecture, furniture and décor work hand in hand.
John has the vision and expertise necessary to reimagine a space so that it is perfectly suited for the way his clients live. When assessing the interior architecture of a home, he revels in the possibilities; a doorway can be the frame to something in the next room or be made to seamlessly feel like part of the wall. Whether the project calls for restoring the integrity of a historical home or improving the flow of a newer residence, John’s keen eye for detail and ability to seamlessly incorporate contemporary details for modern living make every home a success.
In an industry that is all about relationships, Bradfield Interior Design has a reputation for being genuine and trustworthy. Having worked at the San Francisco Design Center at the start of his career, John is also well-versed in the vendor side of the business. His clients benefit from his extensive knowledge of materials, construction, and processes. Should a problem arise, they know that they can rely on his unflappable nature and resourcefulness to rectify the situation.
John is especially passionate about the role that art plays in the home. He loves building rooms around pieces his clients have emotional attachments to and is also happy to guide clients in their search for unique art for their homes. He is currently enamored with the work of Sherie’Fransseen, John Dipolo, Robert Kingston, Paolo Triolo, and Kent Monkman.
John received his BFA with a focus on Interior Architecture and Design from The Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He spent five years working for other well-established designers before establishing Bradfield Interior Design. In 2015 he relocated from San Francisco to Boston and he has called New England home ever since. The firm’s work was recently published in both Modern Luxury Interiors and Globe Magazine.
John invites you to explore their work and, if you find that it speaks to you, to schedule a consultation.
